By law, videocassettes may not be duplicated in part or completely.
By law, videocassettes may not be used for commercial or theatrical instruction and cannot be broadcast or cablecast.
By law, videocassettes may not be shown in a public place without public viewing rights. According to copyright law, a public performance is one that takes place outside the home or where a substantial number of persons outside the normal circle of family and its social acquaintances are gathered.
The borrower is responsible whenever a producer or distributor brings about legal action for copyright infringement.
The borrower takes responsibility for the care of any videocassette borrowed and for determining the appropriate audience for the content.
Neither the Northeast Texas Library System nor the Ennis Public Library is responsible for damage caused to a borrower's equipment by playing the videocassettes.
Neither the Northeast Texas Library System nor the Ennis Public Library is responsible for any changes made in the content of the videocassettes (such as inserted graffiti.)
